Showup operates the Showup mobile application (the App). This page explains how we collect, use, and disclose personal information when you use the App.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly when you create an account, including:

• Name, age, and profile photos
• Phone number (used for sign-in via SMS one-time code)
• Location (city-level, used to show you nearby users and confirm meet-ups)
• Profile information such as interests, preferences, and bio

How We Use Your Information

• To provide the curated matching and date-booking features
• To show you relevant profiles based on your location and preferences
• To send push notifications about matches and dates
• To process the per-date booking fee via RevenueCat and the app stores
• To enforce our Terms of Service and prevent abuse and no-shows

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the service providers that run the App:

• Supabase - database and authentication
• RevenueCat and the Apple App Store / Google Play - in-app purchase processing
• Expo / Firebase - push notifications

Age Restriction

Showup is strictly for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it immediately.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers using industry-standard encryption and security practices. You can delete your account at any time from the app settings, which removes your personal data.

Location Data

We request location permission to show you people near you and to help confirm you showed up to your date. Location is used only for these purposes and is never shared publicly. You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to opt out of marketing communications. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@showupapp.com.
